I love my pro one gravity filter. Knowing I can trust the water I am drinking especially living in the city! Sleek stainless steel design also looks great in my kitchen.
The filter results in great tasting water but the metal spout began dripping in less than a year. I tightened every part I had access to but nothing would stop the drip. I emailed ProOne about a replacement last fall and they never got back to me. :(
Same
If you buy it, you are getting something that has no plastic anywhere and you are able to control the cleanliness of the entire operation. If you’ll load it with a glass pitcher and pour it into a glass or stainless steel pitcher then everything is plastic free. That being said, the operation is somewhat complicated. You have to find a spot that holds it unless you want it sitting on your kitchen counter and then it’s gonna be the biggest thing you have on any counter. I keep mine in a guest bathroom shower on the first floor that no one uses, so if there’s a leak, I’m all set, although there never has been one. Additionally, now that the summer months are here, just north of Boston the water is reasonably warm. I have no way of knowing if it meets the claims of purification, but it certainly doesn’t mess up.
This water filter has been perfect for filtering my tap water! Having two filters installed instead of one gives a decent flow rate when the top reservoir is full.
Purchased the system for SHTF only, therefore have not used it.
works good, tastes great.
The ProOne Traveler+ has been a major upgrade, and I didn’t realize it until I started using it. I had been using a pitcher filter for years and honestly thought the water tasted fine. After switching to ProOne, the difference was immediately noticeable. The water is very clear and tastes lighter and fresher. When I went back and compared it to my old Get Clean pitcher, the water tasted heavier and wasn’t nearly as clear. This has been a worthwhile upgrade for me, and I’m really glad I made the switch.
I've been using my system now for more than 6 years and have recommended it to all of my friends and family. I believe the ProOne to be THE best gravity-based purification system of its type on the market.
That said, a few observations:
1) I would love for a model (or better yet parts) where the bottom (filtered water container) is made from a see through material. This would help in detecting leakage from the filter container as well as available filtered water volume.
2) Short of that, it would be nice if the level indicator spout could be brought back, at least that would help determine the water level in the filtered water container. (I opted to not buy this accessory at the time of my purchase, partly because it was plastic, and I figured I could get one later if I changed my mind - that is the only decision about my purchase that I regret - not immediately purchasing this accessory.)
3) Where can I find replacement parts, like the spigot, to purchase? So maybe create a "Parts" category for your products on the webstore?
PS: The ProOne G3 filters are in my opinion the best and most complete water purification options for gravity feed water systems currently on the market.
Fantastic purchase. High quality filtration that’s consistent. Love this purchase - I only regret not getting the highest size. I have a 2 person household and we drink about 2 gallons a day. Size up to the big size if you’re debating
I'm very interested in this and want to know about it
I have had my traveler for over a year. I love the quality of the unit and the taste of the water. Compared to the other famous brand, this one is a great buy, and not just for the money. My understanding is these filters are easier to use/replace, but I have not used the other name-brand. It is easy to break down, repack in the box, and take on the road. (I cut a hole in the top of the box to accommodate the lid without removing the knob.)
Great System at a great price. Water tastes clean and healthy.
Just set mine up and it takes about 7hours to filter about 2 gallons of water. The water in upper chamber stops filtering about an inch above the bottom of that chamber. It has 2, 7" filters, is this normal for 2 gallons of water? I have filled this for the third time and the water tastes good.
I’ve been using this product for a little over a year now and absolutely love it. I’m glad I’m no longer relying on bottled water and feel confident that my son and I are drinking clean water. I gave it 4 stars because the system came with a sight glass spigot instead of the regular one I ordered. While it works fine, I would have preferred the standard spigot.
I love my filter! Peace of mind that I’m doing what I can to ensure clean water
What A Great Product! I first purchaced the pitcher version and it worked great but the only drawback was we could not produce enough water to suit our needs for my wife and myself. I decided to get the the counter top Traveler. and upon further research you can sign up to buy "scratch and dent" items too. So I did. About a month later one became available for sale at $132.95 ($77 below normal price.) When it arrived, I expected some damage of sorts. To my suprise I found only light scuffing on the inside of the lid and a tiny scratch inside the upper tank. Looks brand new to me! Thanks ProOne ...
Works good. A little pricey for what it is but water tastes great.
The water from my Pro One gravity water filter tastes clean and fresh. The flow rate with one 7" filter is about 3 hours to fill the lower catchment, which is slow, but acceptable. This is a ceramic filter with a large surface area, a simple connector mechanism (rubber washer and threaded nut) and they publish their lab results. Obviously this company was founded by some engineer who's really excited about water filtration because it's named Pro One which sounds like prune. lol. Yes, I'm very happy with my purchase. Everything is made very well. It's not cheap, but there are no bad design compromises. This is a great product. In fact, I'm getting the little Scout II to take backpacking because other companies don't publish their filter data and their filters are very very very tiny, no area, not so good. Pro One makes great filters. Thank you
So happy with this filter system, we purchased the pitcher one for the RV.
Excellent product and great filters. My water is worth drinking now.
I'm very satisfied with purchase.
Excellent product. I have been using it for over a decade and have seen no reason to replace it for anything better. Very satisfied customer.
Great Filter! This is our family's first water filter and we are all hooked even our kids. We take the filtered water with us every where we go to drink. After getting used to drinking the filtered water, the regular water just does not taste good anymore.
This system has been the best decision I have ever made. I am hooked up to city water. It’ has a lot of chemicals in it and smelled terrible.. I was having to buy water to cook with and drink. After purchasing this system I no longer have to buy water which saves money and helps somewhat with the plastic pollution from all the bottles and jugs. I am 70 years old and have arthritic hands but I had no trouble at all putting the system together. I purchased the Traveler and it provides me with more then enough water. Every time I have company I have them do a water test and they can’t believe how great my water taste. I’m so glad I purchased the ProOne system.
This is the best use for my money I can think of! I filtered 55 gallons of tap water and I can't believe the garbage it filtered out. I am very happy with it.
We have had our traveler system a little over a month now. The water tastes great. We got it for use in our small travel trailer but have been using it in the house. It is very simple to use. I knocked off 1 point because it does take some time to fill up. If you fill it before you go to bed it is not too bad. We may get another filter to speed up the process. It is also very tall. In our trailer we have very limited space. We remove the stand, and it is still too tall to fit under the cabinet. If the lid was built with a recessed handle, I think we could fit it on the counter. Maybe that is something you could have your design people look into as so many people in the RV world are looking for these kinds of systems and have the issue of limited space. One other issue is a very small leak with the spigot. We have tightened it to no avail, so we put a dish towel under it to catch it . Other than those 3 issues it is great and does the job
Great purchase. I love my ProOne water filter.
We finally purchased the stainless steel Traveler Gravity Water system after using a home-made version for 5 years and purchasing your filters for it. This has been a Great investment. Love that it can set on my kitchen counter and it's much more available than the home-made version. Keep up the good work!
Very happy so far with my Traveler+. Water taste so much better, dogs hear me pick up their bowl and they both come running. Guess I am not the only one who enjoys good tasting water.
I am so happy we found ProOne! I love our Traveler+ gravity water filter system. We have only used one filter. I know it will be faster with two, but even with one, it is fast as long as we don't let it get too empty. The longest part is when you get a new filter. You do have to let your water go through two full fill cycles to get the best tasting water. But after that, it is so easy.. Thank you ProOne!
