Cleaning Filters

Gravity water filters should be scrubbed monthly with a scrubby sponge that comes with the filter. To clean it, hold the filter by the blue plastic base and place the ceramic portion under cool running water for about 2 minutes. Scrub the white ceramic material with the abrasive side of the sponge. Rinse well. Do NOT use any soap on the filter. Do NOT allow water to enter the stem of the filter. Lay filters on the side until ready to install.

Pre-sediment pleated filters in under counter/countertop water filter systems and whole home systems can be rinsed out.
