Whether you use 1, 2, or 3 filters in your system you will have the same quality of water and contaminant reduction. Using one of any size filter at a time will have a general lifespan of up to 6 months with continual daily use. Using multiple filters at the same time will add their lifespan together and increase the flow rate. So, using two filters at the same time will give you up to 12 months of filtration and increase the flow rate. Using three filters at the same time will give you up to 18 months of filtration and have the fastest flow rate. The 9″ filter will increase the flow rate from a 7″ filter installed in the Big+ system by approximately 15-30 minutes within their general 6-month lifespan. The 7″ filter will increase the flow rate from a 5″ filter installed in the Traveler+ system by approximately 15-30 minutes within their general 6-month lifespan. General filter use will be geared toward system gallon capacity.
